How to Prepare Artwork for Clean, Professional Printing
Posted in :
Good print starts before the machine runs. The artwork file you submit determines how sharp the final result looks, how accurate the colors appear, and how smoothly production moves. Whether you are ordering business cards, banners, stickers, product labels, packaging, or signage, a clean file helps reduce delays and avoid costly reprints.
Start with the correct size
Always prepare your artwork at the final print size or at a scale agreed with the production team. A banner, poster, label, or signboard should not be stretched at the last minute because stretching can make images soft and text unclear. If the project needs bleed, add enough extra space around the edges so cutting does not remove important details.
Use clear images and readable text
Low-resolution images may look acceptable on a phone screen but become blurry when printed. Use high-quality images, especially for large format work. Keep important text large enough to read from the intended viewing distance. A billboard, pull-up banner, shop sign, and product label all need different text sizes because people view them from different distances.
Check colors and brand details
Brand colors should be consistent across stationery, uniforms, packaging, banners, and signs. If you already have logo files, brand colors, or previous print samples, share them before production. This gives the print team a better reference for matching your materials.
Proofread before approval
Spelling, phone numbers, prices, addresses, dates, and QR codes should be checked carefully. Once a job is approved for print, small text mistakes can become expensive. At Bananziza Print Solutions, we encourage clients to review every detail before production begins.
Send editable or print-ready files
PDF files are useful for final artwork, while editable design files can help if adjustments are needed. If you are unsure, send what you have and ask for guidance. A good artwork check protects the final result and keeps the order moving smoothly from request to delivery.
